Koya-san Giun
Goto Giun (20th century) was abbot of Saizen-in, an important temple on Mt. Koya in Wakayama, the center of Tantric Buddhism in Japan. Giun had a major influence on Matsushita Konosuke, the founder of the Panasonic corporation, a company that owed much of its initial success of treating every customer as a guest.
This is a wonderful little Daruma who always has his gaze fixed on the viewer. Original mounting.
